Having moved back to the area when he retired, master mariner Jim became involved with small boats after a career sailing the seas aboard huge tankers and gas carriers. His vast experience is a great benefit to our crews as they learn and then maintain their navigational skills, and Jim’s description of some who go to sea aboard little more than a plank of wood powered by wind or motor is an education to everyone.
