Now our chairman, Peter was the founding honorary secretary, the role now known as lifeboat operations manager, charged with the task of re-establishing Littlehampton Lifeboat Station during the 1960s. Peter remained as Hon Sec for 25 years and is an Honorary Life Governor of the RNLI, awarded in recognition of the outstanding contribution that he has made to the lifeboat service. Married to Susan, and with a son Andrew, Peter is well known locally, not least as an auctioneer, running his business until his retirement a few years ago.
