The recently reported Lifesavers Supper held at the Fish Factory restaurant in Littlehampton was a great success.  The event was organised by the Littlehampton RNLI fundraising team led by chairman Malcolm Somner and arose from the generosity of Andy Sparsis, of the Proto Restaurant Group, which owns the Fish Factory.

Around 90 customers paid £20 each to enjoy champagne and canapes upon their arrival, followed by a sumptuous fish supper.  During the evening, entertainment was provided by a three piece band, and an auction was held with generous bids made for an array of goods and services donated by of local businesses.

Around £2,800 was raised from ticket sales, the auction and raffle, which when supplemented by the revenue from RNLI Christmas cards sold at the restaurant during the previous couple of weeks, topped £3,500.
