The other half of our press team, Emma translates the scrawled notes which record the details of a shout into a crafted composition to be circulated to the local press. Her other responsibilities include as fashion police, advising members of the crew when they have selected an inappropriate clothing combination.

  • What prompted you to become involved? With my husband (the LOM) and stepson (crew) disappearing every time the pagers go off, it was a case of: if you can’t beat them…
  • Best lifeboat experience: Attending a course at the Lifeboat College.
  • Obsession: Shoes
  • Favourite food: Something really hot with loads of garlic and chillies.
  • Favourite drink: Thanks for asking, I’ll have a red wine please.
