Tim is head of the Clarke lifeboat dynasty, with sons Liam and Olly on the crew, and Jan at home to remind him how much time he has spent at the boathouse. He is the general manager of a garage and has lived in the area for more than forty years, but is strangely cagey about his origins.

  • Pet: Springer spaniel called Henry.
  • A long suffering supporter of Brighton & Hove Albion, it is believed he plays golf; he certainly talks about it a lot.
  • Favourite food: He loves seafood.
  • Favourite drink: Yes please.
  • Biggest frustration as a member of the shore crew is… not being on the boat crew.
